Dr. Charles Fuller, Retired Pastor of First Baptist Church, will speak at today’s Wednesday Noon Service which begins at 12:05. His sermon is titled, “Remember Your Legacy” and the scripture text is selected verses from Acts 13.
Lunch is available in the social hall immediately following the service for a suggested donation of $6. Today’s menu is Sausage Egg Casserole (meatless, too), Relish Tray and Dip, Fried Apples, and Coffee Cake.
Worshipers are invited to leave a donation in the basket in the narthex. Every penny of the donations received goes to help RAM House in its work of providing support for those in need of food, warmth, and shelter.
Today worshipers are invited to stay for a Safety Awareness Class at 2:00 in Lockett Hall. Travis Akins, Crime Prevention Specialist for the Roanoke Police Department will be here to lead the class. This week began with the news that two con artists had talked their way into the home of a 79-year-old women and stole some of her cash. Today we could be the victim of a scam, internet fraud, telephone scam and more! While the con artists entered through the front door, many “creep” into our lives and we are unaware until damage is done. Join us this afternoon to learn what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones.
