Elizabeth Mortlock Is This Wednesday’s Speaker

Elizabeth Mortlock, Minister in The United Methodist Church, is the speaker at the January 14 Wednesday Noon Service which begins at 12:05 and ends at 12:30. Her sermon is titled,”While We Are Waiting, Come.” Scripture is John 14:18-21. Rev. Liz Mortlock is a United Methodist Elder who served churches in Connecticut, Craig County and Roanoke before her retirement in 2013. She is active in various ministries in the community, serving as a guest preacher, CASA (court appointed advocate for neglected and abused children), spiritual director at the Rescue Mission and reading coach with first graders.

Lunch is available in the social hall immediately following the service for a suggested $6 donation. The menu this week: Broccoli Cheddar Soup, Sliced Meats, Cheeses and Breads, Jello Salad, and Spiced Cake with Butter Cream.
