“Is There Grass on Your Path?” This Sunday at 9 and 11

Youtha in Red 2Rev. Youtha Hardman-Cromwell will preach at the 9 and 11 o’clock worship services this Sunday while Rev. Heaton is at Annual Conference. Her sermon is “Is There Grass on Your Path?” Scripture text is I Thessalonians 5:14-25 and Luke 11:5-13.

Brittany Davis is reading scripture at the 9:00 service and at 11, Adam Devlin. Catherine Devlin will lead the Psalter.

The choir will sing “This Is My Song” (arr. Wagner) at 11 and Rachael Baber, soprano, will sing “On Eagle’s Wings” (arr. Hayes) during the Offertory.  Brandon Mock is playing, “You Raise Me Up” (arr. Raney) for the gathering music and the postlude is “Prelude, Fugue, and Chaconne, BuxWV 137”  (by D. Buxtehude).

Rev. Hardman-Cromwell is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church on the Alexandria District. She  specializes in contextual education and homiletics and brings this passion to bear through her leadership in Wesley Theological Seminary’s Practice for Ministry and Mission program. She and Rev. Heaton have served together on the Conference Taskforce for Cross Cultural Appointment.
