Lent Is a Season of Spiritual Growth

 Watkins       This year at Greene Memorial, the congregation will be invited to attend to their spiritual lives as a gardener tends to the garden. Each week in Lent, members of the congregation will share their expertise in gardening as a metaphor for God’s work in their gardens.

February 22:  Carol Worley will be speaking about Seeds

March 1:  Rev. Pat Watkins will be speaking about Soil

March 8:  Bill Steed will be speaking about Cultivation

March 15:  Don Wilson will be speaking about Pests

March 22:  Mark Burton will be speaking about Pruning

March 29:  Don Whalen will be speaking about Flowering


  And EASTER SUNDAY, April 5, will be a “Harvest of Hallelujahs”


The weekly themes will begin on February 22 when seeds will be handed out to all worshipers. The following weekly themes will include: “Soil,” “Cultivation,” “Pests,” “Pruning,” “Flowering,” and ending on Easter with “Harvest.”
