Confirmation

As our young people enter the 6th grade, the opportunity to profess their faith and become members of the church is offered through confirmation classes. Confirmation is offered to all youth, 6th grade and older, as they feel called to serve the church. The Senior Pastor, Director of Program Ministries, and Sunday School teachers lead the confirmation study. The group is confirmed during an 11:00 service followed by a reception in their honor.

Sunday School

The youth have a separate Sunday School class setting versus the Sunday evening program. Led by two wonderful teachers, the youth explore the Bible in relation to today’s world.

Mission Opportunities

We provide opportunities for our young people to serve not only the church and community but the state’s mission needs and opportunities as well. The youth do several different types of service projects. These include things such as cleaning and painting rooms within the church, and preparing meals as a fundraiser for youth mission trips to locations across the country. Our youth participate in the Habitat for Humanity trips, providing child care to the families from our church and actually working onsite as carpenters and painters.   We are always exploring the numerous possibilities for our youth to be actively involved in helping others.

Sunday Evening Youth Group

We meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6;30pm . Youth bring their $5.00 for a meal which we call for pizza or other simple meals. We have a time for fellowship, prayer, study and fun. We participate in our local District events as well. 

The Youth will be going to Savannah, Georgia for the 2012 Mission trip!!
