Meet Our Staff

Meet our Pastor:

Pastor Joanna was raised in Blacksburg, VA and considers the mountains home. After attending the University of South Carolina, where she was active in campus ministry, after-school tutoring, and Phi Beta Kappa, she graduated in 2008 and went to Washington, DC to attend Wesley Theological Seminary where she got her Master of Divinity with honors in 2011. She worked on the Development Team there for a year and came to Roanoke in 2012 where she served as Associate Pastor for Cave Springs UMC until June 2020. Joanna is serving a two-point Charge serving as Lead Pastor for both Greene Memorial UMC and Trinity UMC. An Elder in Full Connection with the Virginia Annual Conference, Joanna is passionate about serving others, engaging the community, and being in relationship. She lives with her spouse, Jake, sons, James and Julian, and their dog, Barnabas in the Grandin Court area.
